Looks good Meg! You may not be able to automate the scanning, but you could probably automate the photoshop process. Not like I know anything about that... I bewt Baimus does tho...

I have the photoshop thing down no problem, one of my major hobbies is photography and photo retouching.

The automation part was for the scanner setting to try to clear out as much crap as I can in the initial scan so less retouching on the end. Although I have the space coverage on the cover scan where I can just let photoshop do the stiching for me!

I appreciate all the responses as I know have a drive more than just me wanting this done - you guys seem to want it done too!

I just got an epson scanner with "digital ICE" technology... It supposedly works to eliminate dust, but due to the 3 passes, it takes forever! I gotta bring a book to read in between scans!
I'm happy to just do the band-aid tool or the rubber stamp tool instead...

I am using an Epson 1260 - pretty decent resolution.

I want to upgrade my film scanner to one of the Nikons that is out now which has the ICE technology. I have some old 35mm Negs that have some damage to them that I think I could salvage.

Damn that's nice!

Cant wait to see the CD when you're done with it. Have you started a list of who you'll be sending it to?

Figured I'd do it closer to when I get to being done. I am hoping to have it done before the BBQ so I can just bring a stack and give anyone that wants it there, save money on shipping.

Right now I am just playing around with the scan settings to see if I can streamline the process to make it easier.

From the reactions - I don't seem to be doing too bad.

The only thing that I am having an issue with right now is keeping the back page from bleeding through, but I am not sure if I can prevent that due to the paper it was printed on as it is too thin.

Man do these pics bring back memories, lol. I remember having this entire run in triplicate so I could have some homemade Marvel wallpaper in my room. I had the entire walls covered with these pages.

The time these came out, I had two copies - one for keep, the other to use.

They were of the ones that got lost when my parents garage flooded and they had stored my comics out there.

I got a 5000+ lot off a guy that didn't have the room to store them, and they were in there. I took them and a couple of others (like the first 8 issues of the original Wolverine series) as payment for storage. If he doesn't let me know what to do with them soon I am just going to give the lot away!
